Where I am - How to contact me?

I am based in Moretonhampstead, Dartmoor, Devon. Being so centrally located, means that I am in easy reach of many parts of West and East Devon.

If you have an enquiry, you can:
Email me - viv@dartmoor-it.co.uk
OR
Call me - 01647-440006 (leave a message if I don't pick up and I will call you back).

What if you are further away?

I do have clients who are not so local, and I find that it is possible to help them with many issues that they have, by using a special computer program that enables me to take control of their computer from my own, here at home. This way, I can provide training, help and advice to people anywhere, without having to leave home and much more quickly than if I had to arrange a visit.

In fact, I have a lovely client in Torquay who I help. I found out about her from her niece who contacted me after finding my website on the internet and who lives in Australia. I assisted her neice with purchasing broadband and a new laptop for her Aunt in Torquay, set up the new laptop for her and gave her some basic training in how to use it. Now, if she has any problems, she calls me and I help her to sort them out by "remote controlling" her laptop from here and talking her through what I am doing and why. So, distance is no object for Dartmoor IT - these days, we have the technology to make many things possible.

How I Work

If you require my help, contact me by email or phone. I will need to talk to you to find out more about what you require and your computer. I will then be able to ascertain whether a visit is needed or not.

If I need to visit you to find out more about your computer and your requirements, I charge £20.00 for a local visit, on the assumption that this will take approx. 1 hour.

Once I know more about your requirements, I will write up a report on your computer, my recommendations and costs to you (including any new parts that may need to be purchased etc). You can then decide how to take things forward.

Of course, if you just have a minor problem, then it is quite possible that this can be resolved on my first visit and no further action is necessary.
